Katherine Schell, a 4-year-old Kansas City girl is helping to supply children in storm ravaged NYC with stuffed animals in effort to soothe their sorrow and loss.
After Katherine told her mother that she was “worried about the kids that lost their animals”, her mother helped Katherine devise a way of replacing child victim’s toys. Even the neighbors got in on the act.
According to KCTV 5, the youngster and her neighbors were able to raise enough money to buy 1,800 stuffed animals.
The Schells even drove 200 of the stuffed animals to NYC themselves and handed them out to children. The rest of the toys, 1,600 stuffed animals, will be transported by Kansas City trucking company by charitable contribution. Once they arrive in NYC, they will be distributed by the Stephen Siller Foundation.
